Venue Rental Information

We have 2 rental venues here at Lampeter Café. Whether you’re planning a micro wedding, rehearsal dinner, a shower, birthday celebration, or planning a business retreat, your guests will enjoy the warmth and comfort found here on the square of Lampeter.

The Livery at Lampeter Café

The Livery seats up to 60 guests and can be rented for $500* for a 3 hour event period, with an additional hour before and after the event for set up and clean up. If more time is needed, an additional fee of $50 per each hour will apply. There is additional $25 fee for Sunday events. This includes any time requested by your caterer, decorator or coordinator. You can see images of the Livery in action here. All events must arrange their own catering, as the cafe kitchen is not currently in operation. We are fortunate to have a variety of wonderful local catering options to suggest.

*Due to the additional time requirements and efforts that surround wedding events (weddings and/or wedding receptions), our base rate starts at $1500. Please email office@lampeter.cafe for further details on what is included, and additional considerations, such use of the patio, time slot for rehearsal, early access to the space, which may involve additional fees.

Decoration methods & media must be pre-approved by us before the event. There will be a an additional fee for the use of glitter of any kind. (no thumbtacks, nailing, stapling, screwing, gluing, taping of items to any part of the structure or furniture)

It is the responsibility of the client to abide by the current COVID-19 recommendations and make appropriate adjustments to the planning of their event for their guests. Considering drop-in events, staggered arrivals are a couple of intentional ways to mitigate while you celebrate.

Space is only reserved with payment of the deposit of $250.  Wedding deposit is $750. Payment in full  (balance and taxes) is required at least one week prior to the event.

In the case of a canceled event: refund of deposit will be made only if we receive notification at least 4 weeks in advance of event. If notification is within 4 weeks, only $150 will be refunded.

Do you have guests from out of town? There are two lovely, long-standing Bed & Breakfasts located quite close (within walking distance) to the cafe.  The hospitable hosts of The Australian Walkabout Inn Bed & Breakfast and Walnut Lawn Bed & Breakfast will be sure that your guests have a relaxing stay. We also have a more comprehensive list of hosts in our neighboring area available upon request.


The Upper Room at Lampeter Café

The Upper Room provides a warm Living Room setting for your celebration or meeting. It is an ideal setting for baby and bridal showers or other celebrations. Equipped with a hidden large presentation screen with wireless access, it is also quite suitable for business meetings or day retreats. It can seat up to 36 guests. All events must arrange their own catering, as the cafe kitchen is not currently in operation. We are fortunate to have a variety of wonderful local catering options to suggest.

The Upper Room can be rented  Sunday – Saturday.   Due to COVID-19 guidelines, and considerations on occupancy, the rate will differ depending on the number of guests expected. There is a $25 fee for Sunday events.
