History
Circa 1760, this colonial property on Lampeter Square has been home to a livery, tavern, wainwright, blacksmith, and automobile repair shop. Various owners and businesses offered hospitality to the community and travelers on the old Conestoga Road (Route 741). The beautiful brick home has been repurposed as a fast-casual café to continue its service in the village of Lampeter. Lampeter Café is honored to be the 2017 recipient of the Community Revitalization Award by the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County.
