Lampeter Café

Welcome!

A Message of Transition for Lampeter-Cafe

It has been a strange and difficult year for many individuals, businesses, and industries. The Lampeter-Cafe is no exception as we have been hit hard by shut downs, regulations, and limitations. As we took a hard look at where we are as the summer draws to an end, we have made the difficult decision to shut down the cafe operations. We will remain open during our normal business hours until our last day of operation, which will be Saturday, September 12th.

Lampeter Café

1702 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA 17602, United States

History

Circa 1760, this colonial property on Lampeter Square has been home to a livery, tavern, wainwright, blacksmith, and automobile repair shop. Various owners and businesses offered hospitality to the community and travelers on the old Conestoga Road (Route 741). The beautiful brick home has been repurposed as a fast-casual café to continue its service in the village of Lampeter. Lampeter Café is honored to be the 2017 recipient of the Community Revitalization Award by the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County.
